The Vitamin E Price Trend in Q2 2026 showed a clear difference between product grades and end-use industries. While Feed Grade Vitamin E saw a sharp increase because of tighter supply and stronger demand from the livestock and feed premix sectors, Food Grade 50% CWS remained almost unchanged.
At the same time, high-purity Food Grade Oil 98% recorded a healthy increase as demand from pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and nutraceutical applications continued to grow. These different market conditions made Q2 2026 an interesting quarter for understanding Vitamin E Prices and the factors that influence them.

Vitamin E Price Trend in Q2 2026
Vitamin E, particularly Alpha-Tocopherol, is used across several industries. It is an important ingredient in animal nutrition, food fortification, dietary supplements, pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, and nutraceutical formulations. Because the product is used in so many areas, its pricing does not always move in one direction.
The Q2 2026 Vitamin E Price Trend clearly showed this difference. Three major product categories followed different paths during the quarter:
-
Feed Grade Vitamin E 50% powder recorded a very strong increase.
-
Food Grade Vitamin E 50% CWS powder remained largely stable.
-
Food Grade Vitamin E Oil 98% USP/FCC liquid recorded a moderate increase.
The main reason behind these differences was the balance between supply and demand in each application area.
Vitamin E Feed Grade 50% Prices
The biggest movement during Q2 2026 came from Feed Grade Vitamin E 50% powder. In China, export prices on an FOB Shanghai basis increased by 70.14% during the quarter.
This was a significant rise and was mainly connected to tighter product availability. Reduced operating rates at key manufacturing facilities affected supply, while demand from feed premix producers and livestock nutrition companies increased.
From a general market perspective, this type of price movement is understandable. When buyers need to replenish stocks but available material is limited, competition among buyers can become stronger. Feed producers generally cannot delay purchases for too long because Vitamin E is an important part of animal nutrition formulations.
Earlier supply tightness also encouraged active replenishment during Q2. Buyers who had been waiting for better availability returned to the market, adding further support to Vitamin E Prices.
However, the market began to show some adjustment toward the end of the quarter. In June 2026, Feed Grade Vitamin E prices decreased by 1.25% as supply conditions improved and buyers slowed down their procurement after making aggressive purchases earlier in the quarter.
This June movement suggests that the very strong increase seen during the quarter was followed by some short-term correction.
Food Grade Vitamin E 50% CWS Remains Stable
The price behavior of Food Grade Vitamin E 50% CWS powder was very different from Feed Grade material.
In Q2 2026, China FOB Shanghai prices for this grade decreased by just 0.19%, showing a largely stable market.
There were no major supply shortages putting strong upward pressure on prices. Market availability remained adequate, while food and beverage manufacturers followed a cautious purchasing approach.
Food Grade Vitamin E 50% CWS is used in areas such as food fortification and dietary supplements. Demand from these sectors remained balanced during the quarter. Buyers were purchasing according to their actual requirements rather than building unusually large inventories.
The market became slightly softer in June. Prices declined by 0.58%, mainly because of weaker orders from food fortification manufacturers.
The small monthly decline also confirms that this segment did not experience the same supply-demand pressure seen in the Feed Grade market.
For businesses following the Vitamin E Price Chart, the 50% CWS line would therefore appear much flatter compared with the sharp movement in Feed Grade Vitamin E.
Food Grade Oil 98% Prices Show Healthy Growth
Food Grade Vitamin E Oil 98% USP/FCC liquid also recorded an increase during Q2 2026.
China FOB Shanghai prices rose by 15.83% over the quarter. Although this increase was much smaller than the 70.14% rise in Feed Grade Vitamin E, it still represented healthy market growth.
The main support came from demand in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and nutraceutical applications. High-purity Vitamin E oil is used in products where quality and formulation requirements can be more demanding.
Pharmaceutical manufacturers, cosmetic producers, and nutraceutical companies continued to procure the material, supporting the market during the quarter.
Unlike the Feed Grade segment, the price increase was not primarily connected with an extreme shortage. Instead, continued consumption from higher-value applications helped maintain upward pressure on prices.
In June, Food Grade Oil 98% prices increased another 1.44%. Continued export demand and healthy purchasing from cosmetic and pharmaceutical producers provided support.
This makes the product an important part of the overall Vitamin E Price Trend in Q2 2026.
What the Vitamin E Price Chart Shows
A Vitamin E Price Chart for Q2 2026 would show three very different patterns.
Feed Grade 50% would stand out because of its sharp quarterly increase of 70.14%. Food Grade 50% CWS would show almost no movement, with a small decline of 0.19%. Food Grade Oil 98% would sit between the two, showing a 15.83% increase.
These differences are useful because they show why Vitamin E should not be treated as a single-price commodity.
The final price depends on several factors, including product grade, purity, availability, production conditions, purchasing activity, and the industries using the material.
A buyer looking only at the overall Vitamin E market could miss these important differences.
Understanding the Vitamin E Price Index
The Vitamin E Price Index can be useful for tracking the broader direction of the market, but individual grades can move very differently from the overall market.
Q2 2026 is a good example. Feed Grade Vitamin E experienced a major increase, while Food Grade 50% CWS remained almost stable. Food Grade Oil 98% recorded moderate growth.
Therefore, anyone using a Vitamin E Price Index for procurement or market analysis should also look at the individual product grade.
A broad index can show whether the market is generally moving upward or downward, but the actual price paid by a buyer will depend on the specific grade and application.
Key Factors Behind Vitamin E Prices
Several factors shaped Vitamin E Prices during Q2 2026.
Supply Availability
Supply was one of the most important factors during the quarter. Reduced operating rates at key manufacturing facilities limited the availability of Feed Grade Vitamin E and contributed to its strong price increase.
When supply becomes tighter, buyers may need to secure material earlier or compete more actively for available quantities.
Feed Industry Demand
Strong procurement from feed premix producers and livestock nutrition companies added significant support to Feed Grade Vitamin E prices.
Animal nutrition is a regular consumption market, meaning manufacturers need dependable supplies to maintain production.
Food and Beverage Purchasing
Food Grade 50% CWS did not experience the same level of demand pressure. Food and beverage manufacturers were relatively cautious in their purchasing, keeping the market balanced.
This helped prevent a significant price increase.
Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Demand
The 98% Food Grade Oil market received support from pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications. Nutraceutical consumption also contributed to demand.
These higher-value applications helped prices maintain an upward direction during Q2.
Buyer Inventory Behavior
Procurement behavior also played a role. During periods of tight supply, buyers often increase purchases to protect against future shortages. Once inventories are rebuilt and supply improves, purchasing can slow.
The June decline in Feed Grade Vitamin E is a good example of this process. After aggressive purchasing earlier in the quarter, buyers became more cautious as supply conditions improved.
Vitamin E Price Forecast: What Could Happen Next?
The Q2 2026 data suggests that the future direction of Vitamin E Prices will depend heavily on supply availability and downstream demand.
For Feed Grade Vitamin E, improved supply conditions could reduce some of the upward pressure seen earlier in the quarter. The 1.25% decline in June already showed signs of market adjustment.
However, strong demand from livestock nutrition and feed premix manufacturers could continue to provide support if procurement remains active.
For Food Grade 50% CWS, the market may remain relatively balanced if supply stays adequate and food fortification demand remains moderate.
Food Grade Oil 98% could continue to receive support from pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and nutraceutical consumption. The June increase of 1.44% indicates that demand in these sectors remained healthy at the end of Q2.
This Vitamin E Price Forecast should be viewed as a market direction based on the Q2 information rather than a fixed prediction. Changes in manufacturing activity, purchasing patterns, exports, and downstream consumption can quickly change price conditions.
Why the Q2 2026 Vitamin E Market Matters
The Q2 2026 market provides a useful example of how one raw material can experience different price movements depending on its grade and end use.
The 70.14% increase in Feed Grade Vitamin E was driven mainly by tighter availability and strong feed-sector procurement. The almost unchanged Food Grade 50% CWS market reflected adequate availability and cautious buying. Meanwhile, the 15.83% increase in Food Grade Oil 98% was supported by pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and nutraceutical demand.
Looking at these three segments together provides a much clearer picture than focusing on only one average market price.
For buyers, producers, traders, and analysts, monitoring supply conditions and downstream demand remains important. A change in one of these areas can quickly influence procurement decisions and market prices.
