Years after his death, Cesar Chavez, one of the United States’ most prominent labor rights leaders, is being accused of sexually abusing women and girls, including iconic activist Dolores Huerta. In a statement, Huerta revealed he assaulted her twice with both encounters resulting in children. Chavez rose to prominence fighting for farmworkers and was widely credited with improving their lives through health, safety and social services. NBC’s Camila Bernal reports for TODAY.
