Naysayers have, time and again, termed coworking spaces as nothing more than a passing shower. But they could not have been more wrong!

As per the Global Coworking Unconference Conference (GCUC), the number of coworking members globally is expected to reach 5.1 million within the next two years. The biggest social revolution of the 21st century is entering new territories new shores with each passing day. Today, coworking space is the preferred choice for startups and entrepreneurs from the capital city of one of the world’s most promising economies.

Moreover, coworking spaces are not just the preferred choice for startups and SMEs alone. Many big companies are now hopping aboard the coworking bandwagon, a confirmation that private coworking space is the new normal.

Here is a list of the top global companies that are now using private coworking spaces:

1. Microsoft

In an attempt to make most of the energy that reverberates in a coworking environment, the tech giant decided to move its New York-based marketing and sales team to a coworking location in Manhattan. For the first time, over 300 employees of Microsoft were working out of two coworking locations.

2. Facebook

Following Microsoft’s footsteps, Facebook also signed a deal for a coworking space in 2018. While Facebook itself is known for its artistically themed workspaces, it also could not prevent itself from embracing coworking as the future of work.

3. Apple

For a company that started the personal computing era, embracing change has never been a tough thing to accomplish. It did so in 2017 when it started using coworking space for a small team based in Berlin, Germany.

4. Samsung

While Samsung has invested in creating its own coworking spaces, it has also not shied away from 3rd party innovative workspaces. Moreover, Samsung has also partnered with other popular coworking spaces to introduce greater innovation and creativity in such spaces.

5. Alibaba

The Chinese behemoth was the first to use a coworking space for its Bengaluru-based workforce. In fact, India is seen as a top potential market for coworking startups.

There is no doubt that coworking spaces are helping budding entrepreneurs and SMEs realize their dream of private office space right at the very heart of the corporate world. Private office space for rent in Gurgaon is a distant dream for most young entrepreneurs, startups as well as SMEs. These coworking spaces are proving to be aggregators of growth, productivity, and new opportunities. Coworking spaces are transformational, and its rising popularity is an indication that they are not the future of work but work itself.
