The Madison Square Garden Company NASDAQ As the wellchronicled Donald Sterling saga continues to unfold and play out in the media, one thing has remained abundantly clear throughout the last few weeks countless celebrity and private equity suitors were chomping at the bit to have the opportunity to own an NBA franchise in the valuable Los Angeles market. Since reports surfaced that Shelly Sterling had begun the process of soliciting bids for the LA Clippers, the potential valuation of the team continued to skyrocket. With pundits initially calling for a sale in the range of $1.01.3 billion, former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has apparently won the bidding war with a $2 billion price tag for the team. This lofty valuation should be reason for shareholders of the Madison Square Garden Company (SYMBOL: MSG) to celebrate.
MSG, which was spun off of Cablevision and went public in January 2010, provides a rare opportunity for retail investors and sports fans alike to own a piece of the NY Knicks and NY Rangers. In addition to the franchises, MSG is made up of the successful regional sports network, countless concerts, shows and live entertainment events at its arenas (which includes not only Madison Square Garden and the accompanying theatre but also Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre and the revamped Forum in Los Angeles) and $226 million in cash that is coming its way thanks to a sale of Fuse Network last month to Jennifer Lopez's SiTV. At MSG's recent closing price of $55 a share, MSG has a market cap of $4.2 billion. Thus, a sumoftheparts valuation in light of the forthcoming Clippers sale makes the stock look amazingly cheap.
While sports franchises are incredibly difficult to value, both financial and sports columnists alike routinely rely on Forbes yearly franchise valentino uk valuation report as the most comprehensive and accurate measurement of franchise value. In the case of MSG, a publiclytraded entity, traders often use the Forbes list as a means to gauge the fair market value of MSG as a whole.
In its most recent valuation of NBA franchises, which came out in January of this year, the NY Knicks took top honors with a valuation of $1.4 billion (a 27% increase from 2013), while the LA Clippers ranked 13 with a valuation of $575 million (a 34% increase from 2013). With the Clippers now expected to be sold for $2B, are we to believe that the Clippers will leapfrog from the thirteenth most valuable NBA franchise to the first? Or, rather, is it more likely that in light of the Clippers sale, Forbes (and the public at large) will realize that the value attributed to marquee NBA franchises has dramatically risen and Forbes' 2015 publication will see the Knicks tagged with a valuation in excess of $2 billion?
demin jacket with patches Hey! With no responses I hope you're still reading. I may even PAN u but it always seems so impolite w/o permission on BBC. (Not exactly sure why I think that? Is it? Thanks!)
Important pieces of info that I didn't see in your OP: First, are these types of patches that would be worn on a Dry Clean only uniform? If so, I'm sure they've been dry cleaned and if they're not faded now, well. Me though? I wouldn't take my chances w/such a special jacket would wash it myself (how depends on the info not available):
Are these patches sewed on or glued? It may change my advice so it'd be great to have. It sounds like they'd be sewed on. NOTE/BG: (This is only to help make u comfy w/my advice.) Unfortunately, I HAD no choice but to figure this out. My parents would completely ruin my DD's Gymboree clothes, boutique amazing holiday dresses (then, of course ask/demand professional photos in them! Long story but try to trust meAnd just call me Heloise
PLEASE read thru this whole post.1. First, you need to realize you'll need to ring this jacket out quite a bit if you go this route. Not the best thing I can think of for denim, eapecially a special jacket like this w/patches. As long as the patches are sewn not glued, you could take a soaking wet jacket lay it flat on a towel or hang it in the shower for a couple of days, then pop in the dryer, inside out, on low. Again, that's dor sewn patches.
2. If you do handwash, follow the instructions below for machines as far as stain removal, etc., however you don't have to turn the jacket inside out. You certainly could though. And you could use Woolite if you wanted but I'm sure you know kids get stains dirt you can't even see so I'd try to use Tide.1. Turn the jacket inside out.
2. Check for any spots or stains. If you find any at all, on the denim only use OxyClean of Tide Stain Remover spray. Spray one on, rub the stain(s) very well, let sit according to the instructions (Although, I'm a mad woman w/that stuff and have never had an issue letting it sit for a few days to a week.) HOWEVER, I do not want to this special jacket to be ruined, so follow the instructions.
NOTE: (There's are good reasons I'm saying Tide here.) If you have Tide liquid on hand, you can use that in place of the valentino uk sale others above. HOWEVER, do NOT leave it on for more than 510 mins. It may "bleach" (w/their "optical brighteners") the area if left for too long! Then rinse the area a bit to dilute throw it in the machine, rinsing tge area(s) well beforehand again this is for straight Tide liquid detergent. And yes, I realize the machine has water, lol.
